This cluster brings together academic and practitioners from around the world with the aim of encouraging research, collaboration and discussion on the musics which are produced and consumed in the overlapping multilingual/multicultural historical, political and geographical regions that constitute Europe. Our aim is to establish the cluster as the most significant international centre for the study of European popular musics by facilitating exchange of knowledge between musicologists and scholars of international cultural studies.
