TRANS-Transcultural Music Review (ISSN :1697-0101)  is a refereed scientific publication, sponsored by SIBE- Society for Ethnomusicology and the Spanish branch of the IASPM (International Association for the Study of Popular Music). Annually it publishes one number with a minimum of five articles. TRANS publishes original papers on all kinds of current musical issues within cross-cultural and inter / transdisciplinary perspectives. Particular interest, although not exclusive, is the dissemination of studies on Latin American music and publishing works by authors both emerging and recognized scholars. The contributors do not necessarily have to be members of the associations that sponsor the magazine.


TRANS-Transcultural Music Rewiev is addressed to (ethno) musicologists, anthropologists, sociologists, historians, musicians, and in general, to any person who  investigates or reflects on the significance of music in contemporary societies. Its publication in free electronic format offers an instant communication tool for the scientific community interested in music.
