| Lynda Dee Dixon is Associate Professor and
Director of Graduate Programs at the Department of Interpersonal
Communication, Bowling Green State University. She obtained her
Ph.D. at the School of Communication of the Oklahoma State University.
Her main research interest is Cross Cultural Communication. |
| Shirley Marie Joiner obtained a doctor degree
in the department of curriculum and instruction at Texas A&M
University. She taught one year as visiting assistant professor
in the department of communicative arts and sciences where she conducted
research for her dissertation at Eastern New Mexico University,
Portales, New Mexico. In 1984, Shirley earned her Master of Science
in interdisciplinary studies in speech communication, radio/television/film
and education from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.
She completed her Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences in public
relations with minor in administrative services in 1977 at Stephen
F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. |
| Karyn Charles Rybacki is professor of speech
communication and public relations in the Department of Communication
and Performance Studies at Northern Michigan University. Donald
Jay Rybacki is head of that department and also a professor
of speech communication and public relations. The Doctors Rybacki
are the authors of Advocacy and Opposition: An Introduction to
Argumentation published by Allyn & Bacon; Communication
Criticism: Approaches and Genres published by Wadsworth. They
are currently working with a colleague at Southern Illinois University
on Public Relations Writing: Message By Design to be published
by Houghton-Mifflin. Besides contemporary music and music videos,
their research includes motor sports, and they have published on
everything from vintage sports car racing to NASCAR. |

Division of Social Work Human Services at Florida Gulf Coast University
&endash; Fort Myers, Florida. She obtained her Ph. D. at the University
of Pittsburgh - School of Social Work. Her research interests are
